"Picture this: You're a worship leader, and instead of spending hours wrestling with song choices, keys, and setlist order, you have QuickSet - your personal setlist assistant.

QuickSet is all about making great set lists easier. Song selection? A breeze. Sharing your setlist? Just a click. Syncing with Planning Center? Seamless.

But the best part? You're not just a user. You're a part of our journey. We're building QuickSet in public, and by subscribing to the 'You Lead Worship' newsletter, you'll get to shape the app's direction.

We’re simply building the product that we want to use.

So come join us, and let's make worship planning a joy with QuickSet."

What I’ve done so far?
1. Is this a problem worth solving?

I don’t always enjoy creating setlists; I’m not always feeling inspired. I usually build around a particular song, but some weeks I know exactly what I want to do - and many other weeks, I could use some help.

Maybe I’m the only one… but maybe not. So I created a quick survey, stuck it on two worship leader Facebook groups, and got some responses… more than I thought. I hoped for 10, and I got over 50!!

Next… build a place for people to keep up with the progress.

That’s this newsletter. I was going to build a dedicated page (here is the landing page I quickly made). But I decided to keep things simple and keep everything under one umbrella for now. Maybe that domain will be where the webapp will live. I think this will be a mobile app first, we’ll see.

Oh, and how did I decide on the name Quickset? I had a long list but these were my favorites:

  1. SongFlow

  2. SetFlow

  3. Quickset

  4. Setlistr

I liked Setflow… but I asked some friends I co-write and lead worship with, and they all said Quickset. My wife then saw the initial landing page with the name Quickset - and she really liked it too… and well… that’s that.

ChatGPT also liked it: "QuickSet" is a great name for your app! It suggests that the app makes the process of creating setlists quick and easy, which aligns perfectly with the app's purpose. It's also catchy and easy to remember. If you feel this name resonates more with your vision for the app, then it's a fantastic choice!

Also cool was that the domain quicksetlist.com was available… so here we are.

So what’s next… signup here to find out. It’s a weekly email with thought-provoking posts and of course, progress updates & polls on the Quickset project.
